Provide monthly, quarterly and ad hoc confidential reports for senior management to be used for critical decisions.  Manage and coordinate the systems and data reporting needs of the Finance group in coordination with the MIS group.  Support the Accounting group in areas of financial and cost accounting, reporting, analysis, reconciliations and project work.



  • Work with confidential data to develop reports and tools to be used for critical decisions by executives and senior management personnel within the organization.
  • Maintain and develop various financial models and standard templates distributed for use within the organization.
  • Conduct variance analyses of monthly actual results, both P&L and key metrics. Provide commentary to Management, and leading efforts to enhance data integrity.
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process and in developing internal monthly Management reports.
  • Assisting in the analyses of financial data to determine past financial performance and/or to project future financial performance of specific business areas and gain an understanding of the types of expenses incurred by the company.
  • Identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Prepare and review various metrics and other analytical reporting tools to gain greater insight of revenue mix, pricing advantages and related cost drivers.
  • Seek opportunities for continuing improvements and streamlining reporting and business processes. Identify opportunities for automation to benefit and improve the efficiency and performance of Tree Island’s Finance group.
  • Assist in the preparation of executive and board presentations.
  • Responds on a timely basis to requests for various information from internal and external stakeholders/customers.
  • Participates in special projects as required, including providing financial analysis services to various project teams.  
  • Provide timely support to the Accounting group and assist in other accounting related matters as required.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with 3+ years of practical work experience.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of IFRS and US GAAP.  Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles.
  • A desire to work closely with staff and peers towards a common goal of contributing to the effectiveness of our work through technology.
  • Intermediate to advanced analytical and financial modeling skills using MS Excel.
  • Direct experience with QAD applications is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
