Job Summary:           

This position will report to the Network and Systems Manager and is responsible for Server management and providing second tier Help Desk Support.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Installation, configuration and support of Server hardware, software and related infrastructure.
  • The Systems Administrator is responsible for the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive
  • Monitor system performance and availability. Maintain Servers and SAN storage infrastructure. Perform data backup and recovery operations.
  • Administer Citrix XenApp 6.x, Exchange 2010/2013, Microsoft SharePoint, MDM, Wi-Fi, Mitel, Antivirus, WSUS, Web Proxy and VMware vShpere 5.5/6.0 systems.
  • Manage Microsoft Active Directory 2008/2012 user accounts, emails and permissions.
  • Provide second tier IT support and backup the Help Desk IT Support technician.
  • Provide alternating after-hours support every other month for computer hardware and software for the office and shop floor users.
  • Responsible for providing IT support to Executives at Tree Island.
  • Work on strategic corporate projects and initiatives.
  • Assisting in the supervision of the Help Desk IT Support position.
  • Provide backup support for the Network and Systems Manager in managing and supporting the IT infrastructure.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by the manager.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent is required.
  • MCSA Windows Server 2008/2012, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Cisco CCENT certifications or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of working experience at installing/configuring PC based hardware and software.
  • 5+ years of experience administering Windows Server and maintaining Server hardware platform.
  • Hands on experience in Microsoft Active Directory 2008/2012, Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013, Citrix XenApp 6.x, VMware vSphere 5.5/6.0 Virtualization, MDM, Microsoft SharePoint, Backup, Corporate Antivirus, Networking and Server Patching.
  • Personal work ethic. Attention to details. Self-motivated. Maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment would be an asset.
